CCPA Notice of Right to Opt Out of "Sale"

At SafePorter we consider your privacy to be of paramount importance. Your trust and privacy are the most essential aspects of everything we do, and we are committed to providing you with meaningful choices with respect to the information we collect from or about you.

California enacted the California Consumer Privacy Act ( “CCPA”) concerning the processing and use of California consumers’ data. The CCPA provides California residents with certain rights with respect to their personal information, including the right to opt out of certain transfers or disclosures of personal information as explained below.

California’s definition of “sale” is expansive and includes transfers that would not traditionally be considered as a “sale” in the traditional sense of the word.  California "consumers" are given the right to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information.

  • SafePorter ( and DataProtected by SafePorter) collects information from or about you, including personal information, when you complete surveys or use our services as described in our Privacy Policy. If you are a survey respondent or registered user of DataProtected, we may disclose certain information we collect about you for purposes that may be considered a “sale” under the CCPA. For example, though we only provide aggregate survey respondent information to our clients, this is information that relates to you and includes your responses in the aggregated data; it is provided to give them insight into how best to refine their equity, diversity, inclusion and corporate social responsibility programs.

  • We do not engage advertising partners, advertising technology companies, or companies that perform advertising-related services based upon your engagement with our sites or the personal information of any individual.

  • Under the CCPA, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” of your personal information. We provide this right, subject to a verifiable consumer request, to client account holders regarding personal information collected by us in connection with the client account, including any admin user profiles. To exercise this right, log into your account on the DataProtected website, go to “Privacy and Settings” in your account settings, click on "California Privacy Rights", and follow the instructions under “Right to Opt Out”. You will be required to verify your request via your client account credentials and/or by other means. We also provide this right to survey respondents, whose identity we are unable to otherwise verify, through their interaction with their survey via SPID or through verified client requests.

  • You can also call our toll-free number at 1-833-OPT-OUTS (1-833-678-6887) to speak with one of our representatives.

  • You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. Please click here to make a request as an authorized agent.

  • If you are not a survey respondent or registered user of the DataProtected services, we have very limited information about you and do not “sell” your information as described above. However, you have choices regarding how third parties may collect and use data about you from the DataProtected services as described below.

  • Please note that this opt-out will apply on a going forward basis with respect to our disclosure of information.

  • For more information about  controls and choices available to you, please see  our Privacy Policy
